WAYFINDING
I designed posters for a hypothetical wayfinding exhibit through the Denver International Airport. Its main component is a projection of a skier/snowboarding making their way down a ski slope. In front of the projection is posters shouting out Olympians from Colorado, vintage ski mountain poster, and ski slope trail signs.
DESIGN OVERVIEW
The task at hand for this project was to create an exhibit that uses wayfinding in an area with heavy foot traffic. The idea I came up with for my group's exhibit would be to create an experience in the Denver Airport. As you fly in or out of Denver International Airport, the initial sight from your airplane window is the breathtaking ski mountains of Colorado. Skiing is very popular in Denver, so I thought an exhibit of the popular sport would be perfect for the Denver International Airport.
DESIGN OUTCOME
The goal I achieved after completing this project was expanding my knowledge of projection and wayfinding. I created 9 posters in a variety of different sizes dedicated to 9 different Olympians from Colorado and successfully collaborated with a team to create a beautiful exhibit.
